Since Oct 1 I have been beta testing Vista's SP1Scenario:From Oct 1.Vista SP1 beta installed on Laptop works normally (control panel and all functions working)External VGA Port goes on the blink (stops working) a few weeks into Nov 21Sent in for repairs.The laptop comes back 5 days later (hard drive and OS ) where not touched only the main PCB board was replaced.Booted and no control panel and issues as described here;Uninstalled SP1beta by going into Safe Mode to access the Windows updates panel and uninstalled SP1beta.Problem dissapeared. Back to original Vista, Control panel works.A few days ago installed Vista SP1 RC. Same problem came up again, no control panel. Uninstalled and back to original Vista control panel works again.SpecsToshiba M100 Laptop Vista Premium OEM Install Jan2007Vista Ultimate Upgrade Feb2007SP1Beta Oct 1 2007SP1 RC Dec 2007. NVIDIA Control Panel will not open I just reinstalled Windows 7 on my PC and the NVIDIA control panel will not open when I click the link in windows control panel. I installed it using Windows Update. Windows Updates reports that it installed correctly but the control panel itself will nt open.
