• Keyboard Not Working On Laptop

I have a custom pc with windows 10 on it that has worked fine, but just recently, my volume down key stopped working. I have a logitech G910 orion keyboard, and the volume wheel won't turn the audio down, only up. I restarted my pc, and realized it starts to not work just a couple seconds after my pc turns on, so it's most likely not a hardware thing.I bound some new keys to volume control and the same thing happens, after a few seconds, the up works, not the down. Now the only way to change my volume is through the windows volume mixer.Just wondering if there was maybe an update that messed this up or something.I've checked the human interface device setting, and it's on/set to automatic.Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

I have Edifier bluetooth speakers. Before the Windows 10 April 2018 update I could use the Windows 10 Volume Mixer to change the volume on my speakers, after the update the Window 10 Volume mixer NO longer controls the volume of the bluetooth speakers.If I change my default speakers to my laptops built in speakers if works, so it seem to be bluetooth specific, though if I mute the sound that works. Also when trying to adjust the volume, the volume mixer makes beeping noises as it tries to change thevolume, but of course the volume does not change. I have all Windows sounds turned off.

I have got the same issue after April`s Windows 10 update that I have just installed. I am using Craetive Muvo 1C Bluetooth speaker and before today`s update, it was working fine. Now the volume over bluetooth is set as max and even when I change the volume using Windows 10, it still plays max volume. Volume control over laptop speakers works fine.

I tried deleting and updating the Edifier and bluetooth drivers, but nothing has helped. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.nlm. I have Edifier bluetooth speakers. I have updated bluetooth driver and tried troubleshooting but it doesn`t help. When I change the volume using some program like VLC Media Player while watching movie, it works fine, just the Windows volumecontrol seems to not work over bluetooth now.Thanks in advance for any help. After the April update my Bluetooth main volume blasts at full throttle on my Creative T30 speakers.

Taskbar volume control doesn't have any effect except for its mute function (on two different laptops). Individual apps' volumes can be changedthrough their respective volume controls.Apparently they have implemented this feature to enable controls over individual volume levels of apps.I found the following article on this feature but it doesn't say anything about the main volume control having lost its functionality:the sound settings didn't help either. You can control the INDIVIDUAL program volume, but you CANNOT control the master volume, which is the main issue. I want to have my individual programs volumes where I want them set, then use the master volume, as you normally could before, to actuallyset the volume coming from my speakers.

The master volume is what is shown on the screen in the taskbar, and volume controllers on hardware, ie a keyboard with volume controller, use the master volume to control the sound from speakers. This couldbe considered a work around, but not a fix.nlm.
