There arent any blue mods you can apply to kinetic/exotic guns that you can upgrade to legendary, so how on earth am I supposed to get my primary a +5 mod?
Do I just pray the gunsmith/eververse gives me one in a package? Or do I pray the gunsmith gives me one from that 'buy a random legendary mod for your guns'?This seems like a real shitty system. Guns have 0 mods, its almost exclusively armor stuff. You have elemental mods for your kinetics/heavies, and vanilla +5 mods for your exotics/kinetics.

Why are the 'lower recoil' mods for armor and not GUNS?.
Destiny 2Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion is, and you may want to start preparing your characters to take it on, not just in terms of power level, but also clearing out all the crap currently cluttering up your storage that will no longer be necessary in season 4.It can be a little hard to keep track of everything that’s changing and what it’s safe to delete now when it comes to the changes in Forsaken. You can delete.quite a lot, actually, and that’s what I want to make clear today. So, what can you shred for glimmer, shards, dust, etc? Here’s the current list.
Destiny 2ShadersThe entire Destiny 2 shader system is being reworked so that any shader you’ve unlocked, you’ll just have to pay a nominal bit of currency to take it out of collections and apply it to your gear (application will now be free). That means you can dismantle any shader your currently have that you’ve been hoarding, though you may want to wait until you can dismantle shaders en masse, which is coming soon.Just know that whatever the shader dismantles into, that’s what it will cost to re-purchase.
Normal shaders that dismantle into glimmer will cost glimmer to reacquire. Eververse shaders will cost Bright Dust. So if you have a stack you really like and use a lot, you might as well keep it, but if not? Feel free to dismantle everything else, knowing that if you really want to get it later, you can. And yes, the game will keep track of every shader you have currently unlocked, so no need to worry about not getting credit for dismantled shaders before Forsaken. Destiny 2ModsThe mod system is also getting remade, to an even greater extent, meaning that every mod you currently own is going to be useless very soon here. But the mod components you get from dismantling current mods are very useful going forward, so you’re going to want to get as many of those as you can. What this means is that you can dismantle every mod you have right now.
Destiny 2 Mods List
You should combine all your blue mods you can into legendary mods at Banshee, and then dismantle them for a guaranteed mod component. This dismantling process is going to get you a lot of shards and mod components if you have a collection like me, and there’s really nothing stopping you from nuking them all right now and clearing your entire inventory. They simply are not going to be useful going forward with the total rework of the mod system. Destiny 2Unused Legendary Armor and WeaponsIf you’re like me, you have a vault full of legendary armor and weapons that you have simply because you like collecting things. Destiny’s vault isn’t big enough to let you collect everything of course, which is why “collections” is coming to the game as a sort of vault replacement (though the vault will still exist for active gear you want quick, free access to). What this means is that any gear you have after the Destiny 2: Warmind launch is “saved” and Bungie knows that you have gotten it. It will be added to your collections which you will be able to access whenever for a small currency fee. But if you’re like me, that means you can probably safely dismantle probably 80-90% of your hoarded gear in your vault, because there’s really no point keeping it there when you could use those legendary shards and weapon parts for more important things come Forsaken.

Again, whatever you dismantle now will be “saved” when Forsaken gets here, and you can actually go to right now to see what will be or won’t be in your collection. You are getting a lot more vault slots soon, however, so dismantling this gear isn’t absolutely necessary just to get more space, because more is coming.Planetary Tokens? (Nope)Alright I had to rewrite this section because it was made clear to me after publication. Though planetary tokens are going away, replaced by planetary materials, you can still turn them in post-Forsaken, so you should save them until there’s possibly new gear to get from them.IMPORTANT THINGS TO SAVE:Weapon parts, other tokens, masterwork cores, mod components, legendary shards. I would not use any of these until Forsaken.Follow me, and. Read my new sci-fi novel, which combines my love of fighting games and action movies. I also wrote.
