Fl Studio Has No Sound
Hello,I have a Scarlett Solo and Guitar Rig 5.I was successfully and easily recording to Audacity, through Stereo Mix, using my Guitar hooked up to my Scarlett Solo, and filtering FX with guitar Rig. All of a sudden, Guitar Rig is producing no sound.I have tried all the solutions offered in the first couple of pages on Google search, but I believe this is a more unique problem. My setup/situation:-ASIO4ALL V2+ (reinstalled)-Scarlett Solo-Gr5-I am receiving a signal in GR5, Verifying that my guitar is being read by GR5.- I can record clean guitar tones to Audacity, using Scarlett Solo as default recording device. They playback fine. Although it is only the Right channel that produces sound. This is not a problem for me.-A few weeks ago, Guitar Rig was outputting sound, but only through headphones. This is how I worked.-Audio & MIDI settings within GR5:Sample rate: 44100. I have tried all other sample rates, still no sound.Device: ScarlettDriver: ASIORouting: INPUT: GuitarRig 5 L Input 1Guitar Rig 5 R input 2OUTPUT:Guitar Rig out L, output 1Guitar Rig out R, output 2MIDI: is all empty- WINDOWS SETTINGS:-i have my default recording device set to Scarlett,And playback set to Headphones.I am baffled as to why it will not work.
Make sure there are no external sound devices plugged in. Open FL Studio. Open the channel rack and make sure your piano VST is not on mute. If not already routed- route the piano from the channel rack over to an open track in the mixer. Open the mixer.
Any Help would be massively appreciated. I have been trying to fix this for months, got it to work temporarily, now it's not working again. It's a recurring problem, and I fail to see the reason. Please help!!-thank you!!! Do you monitor the sound through headphones or speakers?
And where are they connected to?Any specific reasons why you are using ASIO4ALL?Otherwise I'd highly recommend to use the dedicated Focusrite ASIO drivers for the Scarlett (available on the Focusrite webpage). Also keep in mind that ASIO can only be used by one application at the same time. So if the ASIO driver is already used in another application, ASIO won't work as audio driver in Guitar Rig (at the same time). In addition, have a look at these articles in general:.-As a side note:You can also record audio directly in Guitar Rig using the (Pre and Post) Tape Decks:Or use Guitar Rig as plugin inside Audactiy or a DAW.
I am using headphones connected to my computer aux port.I was not aware that using a Scarlett Driver was an option, as it was not listed on GR5, I will go and try to Install Scarlett driver and use it. Will get back on that. Although Asio4All was working just fine before, so I didn't assume that was a problem.I was not aware of the exclusivity of asio driver use. Thank you.As far as Audacity goes, when I record using Mono track, there is no sound. I must use Stereo, as there is sound on the Right channel, And condense it to single channel afterwards.
This is the only way I have been able to record through AudacityI'll get back when I make the change to Scarlett Driver. Click to expand. The Realtek HD Manager is for the internal (Realtek) sound card in your PC. Corresponding Playback/Recording devices are set up in the Windows Sound Settings.ASIO is a different thing.
That's why in this case there are only ASIO compatible drivers/devices available (Scarlett ASIO, ASIO4ALL, FL Studio ASIO).As example: if you're using the Scarlett ASIO driver in Guitar Rig, you only have the inputs/outputs of the Scarlett available. So when your headphones are connected to the internal (Realtek) PC sound card, you won't hear any sound in GR until you connect the headphones directly to the Scarlett. I'm buying a headphone adapter for the scarlett today. As far as setting the Input/Output in the audio options in Guitar Rig, i have either -Not Connected- or 1:Line In L, or 2:Line In R. And for Output I have Line Out L, Line Out R, I'm confused as to where is it getting these inputs and outputs?

What is the 1 and 2? Where are these defined?I am not sure if they are set up correctly, or what I am even really trying to define here. I know the Output is supposed to be the playback, and the input is the Scarlett right? So are Line in R & L both the Scarlett device? And the output is also Scarlett?Sorry if this is obvious but I really am lost.I set up the Scarlett as an instrument within fruity loops, but when I look for Guitar Rig for a plugin effect, it does not show up.
I've made sure it's in every VST folder I could find. I see it under Add Channel.it comes up as a plug-in like other FL plugins, Sakura, Piano, etc., Guitar Rig. But when I try to do that, it says 'You tried to load an effect plug-in, Load GR5 into the mixer instead. ' But there is no GR5 in my mixer menu.I've also downloaded Native Access, but it crashes when I open it every time.I've tried Wasapi again, and it looks like Guitar Rig is recognizing the guitar. I'll see what happens with different configurations once I plug the headphones into the scarlett. What I'm confused about is, I won't hear sound unless I have headphones plugged into the Scarlett, but just a few weeks ago, I had a configuration that was working with headphones plugged into my comp's aux port and it was working fine.
Fl Studio No Sound Other Programs
Also i could play through my computer speakers and record Stereo Mix through Audacity. I'm not sure what, if anything, changed but this is all so confusing to me haha. Complicated stuff but I am trying to learn and identify the problems. As far as setting the Input/Output in the audio options in Guitar Rig, i have either -Not Connected- or 1:Line In L, or 2:Line In R. And for Output I have Line Out L, Line Out R, I'm confused as to where is it getting these inputs and outputs?

So are Line in R & L both the Scarlett device? And the output is also Scarlett?
Click to expand.Yes. If you select Driver: ASIO / Device: Scarlett as audio device, then the available inputs + outputs are only from the selected device (in this case the Scarlett). The Scarlett Solo has two mono inputs 1 and 2 on the front (which are 1: Line in L and 2: Line in R). And a stereo output (LIne Out L + Line Out R) on the back. You'll usually have your guitar plugged into input 2.
So when using a Mono Track for recording, make sure to use input 2 (Line in R) for it.As a side note: that's also the reason why you are getting the mono audio signal from the guitar recorded on the right stereo channel (1=left, 2=right) when using a Stereo Track or Stereo Input (like 1+2).The stereo output (LIne Out L + R) is where you can connect monitors to. Or which you can monitor via headphones plugged into the Scarlett.I hope this makes it a little bit more clear. Click to expand.Yeah, the main 'problem' here is basically trying to combine two different applications (GR + Audacity) and/or Audio Interfaces (internal PC sound card + Scarlett) at the same time. So in this case getting things to work or troubleshooting them can be a little bit more complicatedAs example for GR: when connecting the guitar to the Scarlett and headphones to the PC AUX port, you are trying to use two different audio interfaces. So you'll usually need to use Driver: ASIO / Device: ASIO4ALL and set up an aggregated audio device with all the inputs/outputs of both devices you need, as described here:And also making sure in general to assign the correct inputs/outputs in the Routing Tab of GR.That's why using Guitar Rig as plugin inside FL Studio with using the Scarlett as the only audio interface would probably be an easier setup.
Fl Studio No Sound Mixer
Well, I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I am getting playback thru my PC aux port headphones, using fruity loops, because guitar rig is staticy. I have Scarlett set up as input and output on the mixer in FL studio. I have not been able to make guitar rig work as a plug-in on fruity loops, it does not show up as a plug-in, and the native access program freezes and closes every time I open it.But there is progress. I am able to record live guitar, with FX from the Hardcore plug-in on fruity loops, and I'm recording to Audacity, just like before, with 2 working stereo channels (L - R), using Stereo Mix.This stuff is so confusing haha. It's like mathematics, which I am terrible at. I have to keep studying and practice the formulas or else I will forget and the whole setup goes haywire lol.
